Meet Beatmaker V: your sonic journey guide and lifelong gamer. I’ve been riding the waves of technology and pop culture from the rad ’80s through the dope 2000s, and I’m here to drop beats that’ll teleport you through time and vibes. Picture this: 30 years ago, I kicked off my electronic beat journey on Mario Paint for the SNES. Fast forward through ten unreleased cassettes filled with beats from Mario Paint and Fun N’ Games (1993 – 2000), followed by four more cassettes using Casios (1999 – 2001). From 2001 – 2004, I laid down tracks on Music Generator 1 & 2, MAGIX Music Maker, and eJay Clubworld. Each tool had its quirks, but it all added up to a wild ride of musical exploration. I dabbled in Fruity Loops in the early 2000s, but PC crashes took me out of the game for a bit. However, fifteen years later, I’ve come back, armed with FL Studio 20, Cubase 12, Maschine, and MPC 2. Let’s talk influences: think 80s pop, Boom Bap, New Jack Swing, Neo Soul, NuJazz, Trap, and more.
